Recycling Industry News: Bolton Brothers celebrated their 50th Anniversary in style with a large party at Trinity Park Ipswich. Clients, suppliers, staff, family and friends gathered to mark the landmark achievement.
In a brief speech, Commercial Director Reuben Bolton thanked clients, staff and family members for their individual contributions to Bolton Brothers successful 50-year history.

Bolton Brothers continues to grow and thrive on a tradition of quality, reliability and personalised service that’s as relevant today as it was a half-century ago. Employing over 50 people at its two recycling plants in Great Blakenham, Ipswich.
Reuben Bolton, Commercial Director at Bolton Brothers commented: “This is a landmark for any company, but to reach this milestone when the company is in such good shape and with great plans for the future is even more exciting. Reaching 50 years in business is a big achievement and looking back over the company’s history makes you realise just how far we’ve come.”
He added: “I would like to thank our employees, customers and suppliers for being such an integral part of our success and look forward to another 50 years!”
Three long service awards were also handed out during the evening. Albert Burrows who has been with the business for 18 years. Now 78 he still enjoys working a couple of days a week! Angela Southgate office administrator who has worked for 17 ½ years and David Fellgate the businesses longest serving employee clocking up 20 years of service.
Bolton Brothers was founded in 1969 by Michael Bolton, the company began at a modest yard in Ipswich offering a wide range of services in the paper, cardboard, scrap metal and textile markets.
The business is leads in business waste recycling for the recycling of paper, cardboard and plastics in the south and east of England. Operating its own fleet of recycling vehicles ranging from 3.5 to 44 tonnes facilitating the provision of a recycling container collection services for recycling office papers, confidential material, cardboard and plastic.
The business processes well over 1000 tonnes per week and is one of the most impressive paper & plastics recycling depots in the country.
